...or so I've been told. I dunno, I wasn't there.
When we decided we would use cloth diapers for Lily we
knew we had to get a washer and dryer first thing! So, since I was in California and Jacob was in class (in Georgia) our lovely neighbor Cheryl received the delivery for us. Thank you Cheryl. But what none of us knew was that if we ever wanted to move the washer again (um, hello, we are in the army) we would need the original bolts to secure the washer's drum. Nobody knows what happened to those original bolts. When I had the preliminary phone call from the movers to find out if we had any odd sized furniture I was asked if we had a front loader, and they said they would send someone out to service it. I didn't think anything of it until our things were being loaded into the movers truck and they wouldn't take our washing machine! No one ever came to service, ie put in bolts, so we were calling everywhere we could think of to find someone who had bolts, the correct bolts, for our machine. Long story short, we slept in the house that last night with our air mattress and a washing maching. Someone came to service the machine the next morning and then another set of movers came and took it away. Say a prayer that when we actually get into our house that the washer made it too!
On that note... we are being a little bit picky about housing. We could have gotten into a place on post yesterday, but it wouldn't have been one of the newly renovated homes. We have to wait until the 23rd for the next renovated home to be open. Its hard waiting, but with Lily getting all set to crawl in the next few months, the thought of new carpet was rather nice. That and they knocked out the wall between the kitchen and the living/dining room, which is also more to my liking. So no new address yet. Shawn and Staci Campbell are putting us up (God Bless Them!) until our place is ready. And at the moment I can't get the computer to read my thumb drive so no more pictures yet.
