Time to go...

Cross your fingers, say a prayer, hold your breath.... wait don't hold your breath, that would be silly... keep us in your thoughts 'cause the White's are moving again.

Our movers come tomorrow and I don't know if they will pack the computer Mon or Tues so I had to get in one more post. We're moving from Ft Benning, GA to Ft Bragg, NC with a four week detour to California to see family. We should have a new address to share in early September. I just know this is going to be so much fun adjusting to changing time zones with a four month old... and then again with a five month old! On the bright side... she doesn't sleep through the night, so there is no chance of messing that up!

Wish us luck!

Procrastination

The little monster is alseep... for now. What should I be doing, you ask? I should be putting things in order before the movers come on Monday. I should be packing our bags for California. (We fly there next Friday.) I should be making a list or pile or something of the things I want to go in the cars to North Carolina on Thursday. But instead I am writing to you. Huh; go figure.

I did get some laundry done this morning, and ran the dishwasher and put away the dishes. That counts for something right? I started to put aside my clothes to take to Cali and began sorting through the HUGE pile of things I wish I could take with me for Lily. She and I are sharing a bag, since it costs a whopping 25 dollars to check a second bag one way! (She doesn't have her own ticket.) That's 50 bucks when it's all said and done! Heck, I was able to buy a second pack-n-play for that much and am leaving our current one in the car. But I digress... (How can I really digress, this is a ramble?) Lily will very likely take up some space in her Daddy's bag too. How can she take up so much space when she is the smallest of the three of us!?! I dunno, but I sure think she is cute!

Four Month Well Baby

Lily had her well baby exam yesterday. I am happy to report she is leveling out. :) Lil weighs 14lb 10oz putting her in the 75th percentile for weight. Matched by her 75th percentile height of 25inches. Maybe she'll be taller than mommy! Yay! Her head hasn't grown much, 16.25 inches, which is in the 50th percentile. My theory is that this is why people think she is so big lately... her head doesn't match the rest of her, making her look more like a little "person" than a baby. I had to laugh at the lady in line behind me at the clinic... she thought Lily was 18mo old! Even better than that though... Lil spent most of the appointment in just her diaper and the nurses kept refering to her as "him." Guess next time I'll have to put her in pigtails. She has been cleared to start solids whenever we are ready... hear that Grammy... the mess is comin' in eleven days!

More pics

Just because that's what is going on at the moment. Random pics, lol.

Lily continues to impress us with her attempts to sit up. She can only tripod, and try to grab toys one handed, so she mostly just sits there and rocks forward and back. But the new best-toy-ever is a simple balloon tied to a ring so she can hold it. She doesn't squeal much or anything like that... but don't you dare try to take it away from her! Video evidence to follow. :)
