But I am most recently thankful Lily was not hurt worse in her fireplace incident.
She didn't break her nose or knock out any teeth or really hit her eyeball. She just managed to get a nice abrasion and a lovely black eye.
Man, are we lucky!

Oh, sweet girl! No wonder you were so traumatized Sara. I'm thankful too that her injuries weren't worse that what they were. Oh, sweet girl.
Oh Lil!! I can see now why you were so horrified. Poor baby! I am thankful with you that it's all skin tissue which will heal easily and not deeper wounds. These kids; they don't realize they carry our hearts in their tiny hands! Being a mom is the scariest thing on earth.
