We went on a staff tour of the Capitol Building today, coordinated by our host through the House Majority Leader's office. Talk about lucky timing, Steny Hoyer just happened to be walking through the offices as we were checking in and stopped to say hi.
The tour was great. And then we walked across the street and saw the reading room of the Library of Congress. So beautiful.

How is Lily doing on all of the tours and such? Wes would have been great - sat in a stroller etc. Meg wants to be FREE always, and running:)
Not sure where in the DC area you are staying but if near Old Town Alexandria check out my favorite knitting store...Knit Happens on Washington St. I know you are a knitter and they have great yarn.
