Getting Crafty Again

I got the hankering to make Lil some new duds.

And I love the idea of a child's smock. Nice and simple; can be worn over a shirt and jeans or just over a diaper in the summer. :)

I could not, however, find a pattern that I liked! So what did I do? I made one up.... It's not quite perfect yet, I want to make the neck hole a bit bigger, and give her a little more room under the arms. Oh, and I made it reversible!

This then is the end result:

Okay, first, you are out of control. Second, I LOVE IT!! If I ever have a girl, I want five of them. :) Good job lady.

Sara you're amazing! I am so impressed. It is super cute. And I'm definitely calling you too, if I ever have a girl. :)

Yep - out of control. I just made my first quilt - sucks by quilting standards but I was never one for standards. Remember when I knit everything backwards?!? Anyway, if you get a chance, email the pattern you made, I'd love to make some for Meg. It is hot as hell here in the summer and they look cool:)
